Op-ed views and opinions expressed are solely those of the author.

There was a time, back when I was younger and more naïve, that I had faith in the judgment of the American electorate. I believed that the American voter, collectively, would make wise decisions most of the time.

No more. Times have changed.

The ability of the average American to think for him/herself without being misled, has declined. Our national American psyche has fallen into a trap. There has been a drop in the average citizen’s skills at critical thinking.

Blame it on what you like, but the ability to think straight, to evaluate based on experience and facts and not emotion, has waned. Most likely, the blame for this can be laid at the feet of the American educational establishment. By design, over the decades, the political left has made extensive inroads into the institutions and people who make policy for the education of our children. Our collective offspring, in their formative years, have been badly taught and deliberately misled by subtle propaganda. They became the “participation trophy” generation.

This has produced a sector of the American electorate who believe it’s OK to elect people to office who re-distribute wealth and “free stuff”, who choose not to abide by the rule of law, who won’t stop violent rioters and looters from destroying our cities, or who continue to elect federal officeholders that have been impeached by Congress for bribery. We watch voters who put socialists, Marxists, and fanatics in office who hate traditional American values, the standards and principles that have made the U.S. the most successful nation on earth.

And now we see an electorate that chooses a man, as supreme leader of America and the free world, who cannot communicate effectively on his own, but must use devices and props like Teleprompters and scripts to speak intelligently to Americans. Yep, a majority of voters have selected a cognitively-impaired, mentally degenerated leader to deal with the Putins, the Xi Jinpings, the Maduroses and Castros of the world.

Now that this has happened, America’s voting majority will get what they deserve. Now they’ll have to live with what they’ve done. Perhaps somewhere down the road, they will realize they were fooled, or perhaps not. There are some leftists who knew full well the disaster they were foisting on us, but their hatred for the sitting president was too strong. So be it. Most of the rest of us will get on with our lives and try to sidestep the destruction that’s coming; we will fight against paying for the follies, impracticalities and costs that will head our way. We may or may not prevail. But we’ll fight the good fight and try to restore some common sense and sound judgment.

America’s radical progressives will have to deal with patriots who will not genuflect to socialism, or acquiesce quietly to a federal debt that will soon pass $30 trillion. The left will not see American loyalists hopping on board any trains chugging down the track toward America’s decline. You can bet many Americans, who treasure what made this country great, will act well beyond being the “loyal opposition” to politicians pushing destructive political agendas.

With a Biden win, there’s no doubt that once he is in office the Radical Left will threaten him to resign due to his cognitive impairment and if not we will see how quickly the left makes the Hunter/ Joe pay-for-play scandal real. The only reason it has not been discussed much and was suppressed by the mainstream media is because the left forced their media allies to sit on it until after the election. If Biden doesn’t play ball with the left-wing radicals and do what they want, they will take him out one way or another. Then the country will be inflicted with Kamala Harris, a woman who is to the left of Bernie Sanders. Then, socialism is knocking at the door.
